•DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvovirus)
•Bordetella (kennel cough)
•Leptospirosis - Highly recommended, but not required
•Flu - Highly recommended, but not required
It is the policy of The Bark Club that all dogs attending our daycare have up-to-date Bordetella vaccinations.
We constantly monitor our pack for any signs of kennel cough or other illnesses. Any dogs exhibiting the signs of kennel cough are immediately isolated, owners are called, and the pet is referred to their veterinarian for diagnostics and treatment.
The incubation period is about 2-14 days, which means that your dog and/or other dogs will not display symptoms of illness for approximately 2-14 days following exposure.
Kennel cough can be acquired from your neighbor’s dog, from an outdoor dog park, or while sitting with your dog on a restaurant patio. It is even possible for a vaccinated dog to develop symptoms as no vaccine is 100% effective.
Our facility is continuously ventilated and disinfected. We use a germicidal product that is used by many veterinary hospitals.
Dogs that have been diagnosed with kennel cough cannot attend daycare for a period of 14 to 21 days after treatment has started. This protocol is highly recommended by our veterinarian.
Spay & NeuterAdult dogs must be spayed or neutered by 1 year of age. Dogs unaltered will be monitored for behavior changes. Dogs unaltered will wear a red colored collar for identification.
